Day 32 - August 12, 2022 - Disembark ship - Costwold Village - Oxford

Another beautiful morning in Wales.  This bridge is near Bristol, but we didn't go that far up the inlet.

We arrived to the port at the expected time, but due to congestion and the fact that our pier was occupied, we were over an hour late beginning the debarkation process.

At one point while waiting, we were next to this huge transport.  It dwarfed our small 95 passenger ship.

Around 11:00 AM we arrived in Lacock, a small village in the Cotswold region.  It has some claim to fame due to the many movies which have had scenes filmed here, including Harry Potter movies.

It is a postcard beautiful villiage.

I took some photos of buildings used in the Potter films.  I hope to attribute these correctly, but since most are privately owned and occupied, there is no signs indicating their usage.  If I am incorrect, I am sure one of my grandchildren will correct me!

Parts base of this church dates to the Normans.  The church was partially rebuilt in the 14th century and has many repairs and additions since.  It is a beautiful old church.

A few more interesting buildings.

After our walkaround, we still had about 30 minutes to kill.  We found a shade and and had a pint of local beer.

Dinner tonight was on our own, and we sought out an O'Neill's pub like we dined in in Aberdeen a few weeks ago on our first visit there.  We were not disappointed and as a bonus, we were served by the owner and founder of the chain himself.  I had the same meal as before, the mixed grill and a Guinness.

On the walk back to the hotel, I spotted this incredible tree/vine on a building.  I paced off the width and from one side to the other it was over 100 feet wide.

I am not really sure what our agenda is for tomorrow, other than we have our farewell dinner at 6:00 PM.  Most of the group will be returning home, but about 15 will be continuing to Cork, Ireland on Monday.
